Demo co-ops: the transparency registry

This is a live, public list of every organization on Communly that is currently running as a demo. Anyone can read it — no account needed. If your co-op is not on this list, it is not a demo, and nobody is browsing it as one.

What is a demo (spectator mode)?

A demo is a read-only showcase co-op that anyone can browse to see how Communly works. Demo co-ops live on a separate subdomain (demo.communly.io). You can look around without logging in, but nothing you click writes to anyone's real books, members, or governance log — the database itself rejects those writes.

What a demo is NOT: it is not your co-op being watched, mined, or studied. Real co-ops are never silently turned into demos. The only way an org becomes a demo is through an audited, logged action — and every one of those actions is listed below, in plain language, with who did it and why.

How to check that your co-op is safe

Search this page for your co-op's name or slug. If it is not listed in the "Demo co-ops" section below, it is not a demo. Every flag change is recorded in the audit history — so even if an org was ever briefly a demo, you can see exactly when it started and stopped, and who made the change.
